Associated Builders and Contractors, Southeast Pennsylvania Chapter is happy to announce a new scholorship opportunity as an important element of the Chapter Diversity Initiative. The grant seeks to offer a full three or four year training scholarship to a minority employee of a minority owned business. The ABC Diversity Scholarship Fund strives to provide new opportunities for the construction industry. First, to provide a quality education in a trade that will produce lifelong skills and work to an individual who might not otherwise have an opportunity to access training; second, to assist in the growth and development of a minority owned emerging business; and third to promote the development of the overall workforce for the construction industry with populations that have been underutilized. Completed applications must be received in the chapter office no later than close of business June 30, 2008. All ABC Members are encouraged to pass information about the grant on to any potentially eligible person or company.
